Rolling Hills Ministry

On the second Saturday, of each month a small group gives a birthday party for the residents of Rolling Hills Apartments. The apartments are located at, 10250 Goodman Rd. in Olive Branch. All the residents are invited but those whose birthday falls within that month are honored.

The tables are decorated with either a birthday theme or a seasonal theme.  Birthday cake, ice cream, sugar free ice cream bars, and a beverage are served.  The birthday honorees are given $10.00 in quarters for their clothes washing fund.  Four games of bingo are played and various prizes are given to the winners.  This is a wonderful ministry for these residents.  This is a time filled with fellowship and fun.

Faith In Act!on Senior Delivery Meal

This Senior Citizen Outreach Ministry takes place on the last Sunday of each month, at 2pm with the location for assembly and distribution to be announced.  The ministry reaches out to senior citizens who can benefit from a Christian touch. Churches, who are members of the Olive Branch Christian Community Coalition, provide meals for 100 or so seniors.

Volunteers meet to pack “to go” boxes and then go to the homes of Seniors to deliver these meals.  This is a wonderful way to reach our Senior Citizens that might not normally have contact with any other Christian organization.  Serving this meal is not just to provide food but to also provide a contact for a helping hand.  A card with a prayer request number is provided with each meal.

We encourage that as you are delivering the meals you ask if there are any special needs that require our attention.  The OB3C does have several resources that are available to our Seniors. We can put them in touch with these organizations as needed.  You might even to be asked to change a light bulb; this is a simple job that will be greatly appreciated.  The Senior Delivery Meal will be a blessing to you, and to those you serve.  What a great way to “serve” our God through “serving” our Senior Citizens.
